Our Recreational Classes

For preteen and teenage dancers looking for an alternative to the commitment of Intensive Core Study, NHAPA is proud to offer challenging recreational classes.

The following classes are offered for both preteen and teen students. Classes will often meet back to back allowing students to option of attending dance one evening a week.

Classical & Contemporary Ballet-Classical  and Contemporary ballet for students over 9 years old or as evaluated by the director. The foundation of the performing arts, ballet is offered at graduated levels of training, beginner and intermediate. Advanced level classes will be featured in an intenstive core study rather than at the recreational level.

Hip-hop-Hip Hop for students over 7 years old or as evaluated by the director. Instruction at the beginner and intermediate levels.

Levels are as follows:

Hip Hop Junior (7-9 years)
Preteen Hip Hop (10-12 years)
Teen Hip Hop Levels I and II (13-18)

Curriculum includes stretching, progressions, combinations and choreography for progressing students with a passion for hip-hop. Advanced level classes will be featured in an intensive core study rather than at the recreational level.
